Lots of social media users turned their attention to Twitter. It seems that the level of interaction and the ability to quickly exchange and send ideas made it one of the most used social tool by marketers, social media consultants, big companies, bloggers, web services providers and many others. I too decided to start using Twitter in October this year and found some great people to connect with and expanded my knowledge by learning what others had to offer.

I’ve recently posted an article on social media called Social Media Success Depends on How Human You Are in which I expressed my opinion about social media tools in general. What I wrote in that article was basically that you need to act and behave like a real human in order to get the benefits from using the social networks tools. So even if you are using a blog or Twitter or FaceBook, Flickr, YouTube, Viddler, Digg or any other website that offers some kind of social interaction your actions should be human.
There is a market out there, developed around small businesses, which offers different services like web design or SEO or business blogging planing at affordable prices. This market is very targeted, the competition is very tight for getting customers and there is a very thin line between offering quality services and just offering services. Sometimes the words small business are placed near cheap or bad quality. That is why I decided to write this post : even thou all is at a smaller scale doesn’t mean that it’s also bad quality. Of course it’s cheaper then the big solutions but you can’t expect to get it for nothing.

Web design and web content are related to each other. The reason is both the design of your website and the content you provide on your website talks about you and about the product or service that you wish to offer on your website. For example if you would be a poet, people would expect to read poetry when coming to your blog, if you are a photographer you have to offer both good images and good description or maybe you are a web designer. Then you should talk like one. At least on your website. People need that. They need to see you are good at what you do. They need to trust you before buying. And you can’t do it without trust. It’s like when you’re going to a rock concert and you don’t expect to see the lead singer dressed for opera and sing like Frank Sinatra.
Today was a special day for me because when I opened my computer I saw this e-mail from Elizabeth C. Lewis. She is a small business attorney practicing in Colorado. She provides legal services to both non-profit and for-profit businesses in the Denver metro area and Clear Creek, Eagle, Gilpin, Grand and Summit counties. Whether your business is still only an idea on paper or your business is more-established and facing labor or tax issues, she can make sure your business is headed in the right direction.
So, if you are a small business in Denver and you need a Business Attorney then Elizabeth C. Lewis is the one you should call.
Last month, Toma helped me with my search engine optimization. Prior to following his advice, my website was on the fifth to tenth page of the search results for the terms I was targeting and business was slow. From Toma, I learned that the terms I was targeting were rarely searched and that the SEO efforts I was making may not pay off even if I got to number one. He suggested changing just a few words as they made a huge difference in the number of monthly searches. I followed his advice and focused on the more popular search terms. In just a month, I have found that my website went from irrelevant in the search results for those keywords to being on the first and second pages for the two searches that get the most hits on Google. I even got to the first spot on one of the search terms on MSN! Instead of spending hours targeting search terms I thought were popular, I have now focused on the most searched terms in my area of business helping to make sure that the SEO efforts turn into profit.
As more and more people turn to the internet to find services and products, having your website in the first page or two of search results is a must. I highly recommend using his services to help your website get to the top!

The blog phenomenon has reached it’s peak and almost anyone wants to make money from their blogs. Everyone tries to sell something : a product or a service. To be able to do that you need targeted web traffic and by that I mean clients that are willing to buy. The difference between traffic and targeted traffic is …… money. You make money when you offer something that makes the client come to you and once he’s there you are able to identify what he really needs by looking beyond his simple request.

Well, it’s true – for me at least. If you want success you have to find a decent balance between the production pipe, developing new products, the actual selling process and marketing everything. It’s like a perfect fruit salad. You have to have bananas, few kiwis, oranges, grapes and apples. This works fine for me. Just like that, the perfect mix can get you the success you desire in your active market : you just need to find your balance.

Social Media is the new trend : everyone wants a piece of it and we all try to market using the social media tools or just to interact with others on common interest subjects. Everyday we read about another guy that has thousands of followers on Twitter or thousands of friends on Facebook; his blog is popular and all he says and writes gets comments by the dozen. You may wonder what is the secret in all this : how do they do it ? The truth is that there is no magic potion or hidden secret : they just act normal.

internet marketing tips, social media tips for businessesI think that this article is a must, as for the entire blog also. Jim managed to create a blog community from thin air and get the best out of social media by using only Twitter in just 9 weeks. You don’t meet every day someone that could do this especially by breaking the rules. He uses marketing techniques to promote his blog not SEO and he writes great articles. Simple things, yet so hard to achieved. In his new article Focus on people – Not ‘hits’ he gives a very good advice : write for people not Google. He is not the first that says it but he actually does it. We all have something to learn from him. I have a lot to learn from him. Jim made my realize that without the human element it’s impossible to create a successful blog. You should also follow Jim on Twitter and see how he does it. That’s it : Twitter and his own blog. No Facebook, Myspace, Digg and other social media websites.
Just Saw this poll on TwiTip about Twitter and if you are logging in to post or use third party software like TweetDeck, Twhirl, Twitteriffic and others. I think that the majority will say that they log in to Twitter from time to time but they most use a desktop application. I also use TweetDeck and I think in order to be a power user or to be able to answer quickly to replies and direct messages or to be able to interact with others it’s necessary to use a desktop software.
So take this poll to see : Do You Log In to Twitter.com To Tweet ?
