The web has transformed from a medium based on browsing and simple catalogs to one based on interaction. People are no longer visiting websites just to see what products or services a certain company has to offer. It went beyond that.
Now we are searching for more and more information on our subject but we don’t think that simple presentation content for a product is sufficient. The rest of the information about a product or a company we acquire it from social networks or blogs. It’s so easy these days to see how serious a company really is.
We can check their blog and their social accounts but we can also see if their customer support is as good as we would wanted to be. The fact that we can find this sort of information on the Internet makes you wonder why not every company has a social component to their business.

Building a great blog requires strategy, planning, patience, consistency. We’ll talk about how important is to realize the things that matter in your niche market. This is more like a general article but I think it’s important to address the issue.
What is my blog about? Sometimes the answer comes right away – sometimes it takes time to figure out. If you haven’t build any blogs before and now you’re working on your first be prepare to adapt to changes. Your blog will start as something and in time it will evolve into something else. We become better writers, we observe that certain topics get more attention and certain articles receive more comments.

importance of traffic relevancy for SEO, SEO tips
I decided to talk about web traffic because of some recent questions I’ve got related to this. Traffic is the first obstacle. You can call it a goal but since this is something absolutely necessary to any website I like to call it an obstacle. Traffic is a must: and you can’t do anything without it. If you only get 300 or 600 visitors per month you can’t fulfill your goals: you can’t sell your product(s), you can’t make money from affiliate programs or AdSense.
Now that we established the importance of having a good amount of traffic on your website it’s time to talk about why some websites don’t receive web traffic:

Finding a proper keyword to target it’s not easy. There are few factors you have to keep in mind when selecting a certain keyword that you have to follow:
- First you have to find a keyword that has a decent monthly number of searches
- Secondly you can use a tool like Google Keyword External Tool to find related keywords, or use the Wonder Wheel Feature in Google Search, or you can just add modifiers to create derived keywords. Basically you will build a hierarchy that has the main keyword on top and the derived ones bellow. These modifiers can be anything from location to quality of service, price range and so on. Here is a small example:
“leather purse -> <color> leather purse -> <brand><color> leather purse” or leather purse -> <animal name> leather purse or <price range>leather purse or <brand> leather purse. read more

Running a successful blog it’s not an easy task. First of all you have to get by the first period in any blog development, when you’ll experience low interest in your blog, no comments and no visitors. This is the hardest part. If you’ll fail in building a great blog it will most likely happen in that period.
Once you passed that moment it doesn’t become easier but it’s more rewarding. Now you face the problem of consistency and delivering quality content in a constant way. We all know that content is king but what does this mean? What elements make a content to be liked or not?

Building an authority blog, if you haven’t done it before, it’s not an easy process. The second one it’s going to be a different story because you can use your reputation from your first blog. But let’s stick to our subject. You have no blog but you want to build one and you want to know what it takes to do it, how to do it and most important: how much time do you need before having a well known blog.
There is no precise answer to how much time do you need to leverage your blog but there are some things that you may take into your consideration and that will help you in building a successful blog.
If the Earth would be covered with water, humans would adapt. Then, if mountains would rise from the middle of the ocean humans would learn to go on foot and hunt and harvest and use the animal skins to keep them warm.
Why this introduction? Because this is the case right now. We started by sending letters in mail, calling people to present them our product and we end up now with all this social media around us and the inbound marketing techniques where you try to be in the eyes of who is looking for you.
This is my take on social media: it’s just a tool. The tool of the moment. The easiest way to market your business, to brand yourself, sell your product, interact with customers all over the world, offer better customer support. And is almost free. The cost is the time you spend building strong profiles that people will follow or friend with.

I think this is the reason many people blog: to make money. I have to admit that this is not the only reason for starting a blog but if this is the case with you here is what I think of it and what I consider to be some of the most important things you need or have to do in order to succeed. I don’t think it makes any difference if it is a business blog or a personal blog turned into a business – the same rules apply. The differences consist in the way you blog – the way you write your articles – but as far as the monetization goes I think we can find a core of rules that can be applied to both.

Blogging is not entirely about your own blog. It may sound strange but think about it. You write articles on your blog and just stay and wait for visitors? In real life is called socializing. It’s like having a brick and mortar business and you go let people know about your products.
The same thing goes double for blogging. When you blog you try to send out a message – or at least you should send a message. But you have to help people find your message. There are millions of bogs out there with millions of articles being published every day. You really have to fight so your content gets people attention.
And you should be so grateful if one person comes to your blog and reads what you have to say and take the time to also post a comment. I don’t think we realize how great that is: from all the millions of articles out there he/she chose to read yours. Now you should ask yourself: where do I find more people like the one that just visited/commented on my blog.
