Writing good content for web is consider to be the most effective way to promote your online business and to get relevant web traffic to your website. This is the way your list of keywords will be put to used. So knowing how to plan ahead and write good web content is crucial to your success.

What defines good web content

How do you know it’s good web content. You have to be an experienced web content writer to realize the flaws in your work. There is no magic formula in finding what is good and what is wrong but there are some rules that define somehow what is consider to be good content. The most important things are uniqueness, freshness and full of informations. Then comes the way the web article is written. A good technique ensures that all that useful information you provide in your web content it’s gonna be read.

A good web title can make the difference

There is a common known that when parsing a list of pages resulted from a search many people read only the titles and if they see one that catches their eyes will continue the surf and click on that link. So having a good title for your web content is essential. The title should promise something because usually people search on the Internet what they think that is the solution to their problem. So you have to craft your title with this in mind : it has to sound like the solution to a problem. This is only half of what you have to do. The other half is making sure that your title contains the main keywords that describe your entire web article.

Why to plan ahead

You have to think both at a larger scale and on a small one. The large scale means that you have to plan ahead what you’ll be writing about in the next month or two months. Of course that there will be some deviations along the time but planning the web content ahead gives you the possibility to see the hole picture and to create a logical sequence in your web articles. The other planning that you have to do is before you write every article. This reffers to how you’ll structure the information in your content. I prefer starting with a small summary in which I explain shortly what the article is going to be about. The summary has to also offer a simple and direct way to present the solution to the problem. It has the role to make the visitor read the rest of the article just like the title that has to make the visitors to read the first paragraph. Then you should think of some subheadings for your paragraphs. My articles have between 450 and 850 words, so I tend to have 5 paragraphs on the page : summary, three content paragraphs with subheadings and the conclusion. Planning the content before writing it gives you the chance to logical organize the flow of the article and to have in the end a much more coherent web content. Another rule of thumb that you should take into consideration is that each article you write it should contain only one major idea that is broken down into smaller pieces that form the core of your web article. The conclusion of each article should repeat shortly what the article was about. It should offer a strong statement that the reader will take into consideration as a real solution to it’s problem.

Conclusion

Just by following these simple rules you can produce quality web content for your website in no time. The system I use in developing a web article is this : first tell them what are you gonna say to them (the summary). Then tell them (the three paragraphs). Then tell them what you just told them (conclusion).
