Leverage your business with your passion
Big brands invest big money in advertising, marketing, SEO, website building, website content development in order to be present on as many media channels as possible. They are spending big money to get as many clients as possible. The fact that the budgets of these giants are so big it doesn’t mean that this is the only way to do it. What the web offers today is the possibility to stay in your home, with your slippers on and conduct a profitable business.
The new-social-web gives each and every one of us the possibility to start our own business: all you need is a blog, a product to sell and determination. The main difference between you and the big companies is your passion and your enthusiasm for your business. Big brands lost that quality when they became big. When they hired hundreds of people and many of them don’t even know why that company was founded. Their voice is not personal anymore : it doesn’t talk to persons, it talks to masses.
Start-ups and small businesses don’t have big budgets, usually. But why would you need big money to launch a product or a business? YouTube, FaceBook, Twitter, your blog : all these media channels are free and all offer exposure to millions of users. So in the terms of the target audience I don’t think that you, as a small business, have any disadvantage from a big company.
Passion and enthusiasm are great. Learn how to transform it into fuel and use it to market your business. If you are not doing everything you can for your company, then who else do you think will do it ? You have to be the first who succeeds and the first who fails and also the first that gets up and keep on going. Starting a business is always hard – especially if you don’t have much money, but you will always find a strong support in your passion for your own business. This feeling will help you continue the work after each bump.
You will always receive kicks and you will always experience fail but you have to find the power to go on : and if you are not passionate and enthusiastic about your business then I don’t think you’ll be able to continue. You will see that if you are using your passion, your video-story-telling will be much more intense, your blog content creation will come much more easy and building a community around your business will come more natural.
So, let me know if you agree with this. Do you think this is enough ? Or this is a key ingredient in your business development journey ?
