Running a successful blog it’s not an easy task. First of all you have to get by the first period in any blog development, when you’ll experience low interest in your blog, no comments and no visitors. This is the hardest part. If you’ll fail in building a great blog it will most likely happen in that period.
Once you passed that moment it doesn’t become easier but it’s more rewarding. Now you face the problem of consistency and delivering quality content in a constant way. We all know that content is king but what does this mean? What elements make a content to be liked or not?
Here is my opinion on this: it’s all about how well your content solves problems related to your niche market. I think this is the first thing you should ask yourself, when you are building a posting strategy for your blog: what problems exist in this market? How do I tackle it and in what order?
Try and find a word (or several) that would define your market. If you are an amusement park then a perfect word would be fun or entertaining or free time or family. These are the needs to which your business responds. You have to view your blog as a way of providing solutions and from time to time to raise small questions to stimulate the development of a debate.
I think people go online for two big reasons: business interests or personal interests. If we are talking about business then usually people search for a solution, a service or a business partner. If we are talking about personal interests we have: fun, educating themselves or interact with others.
Your message has to be clear. I think that you should decide to whom you address: business or personal. Talking to both sides might harm your message and lead to confusion. Not focusing on one side will also lead to some colorful articles because of the variety of subjects you address.
This is my way of seeing this matter. What’s yours? Let me know in comments bellow.
