Great Post! You are so right that business blogging needs to be the Hub of your social media strategy....all efforts lead back to the blog. The purpose of the blog is to engage and most importantly, Convert.

What most people don't realize until they review the data is that the vast majority of business blog traffic is coming from first time visitors. not subscribers, not fans...but first time visitors....and, most of those are coming through search for every one visitor who comes through a facebook feed or Twitter, there are potentially hundreds more that will come through search.

Shoemoney wins, not because he wins his branded name, but because he wins on hundreds of keywords that drive traffic to him. With blogs as the hub of your strategy, the same can happen to any business.

You have dished out quite useful advice on branding with blog. But the most difficult part it creating the content, and taking out time for writing it.

Great suggestion. It takes a lot of dedication I guess. I started a blog but it is taking me forever to move past the first post.
